My final painting of 2010! Of course it’s been a year of robots and cephalopods so it’s only appropriate to end on a similar note to that we started on.

New show submission

Today I’m updating very briefly to show you two pieces that I created for the Dirty Show in Detroit after my friend Kristen let me know about it. I just submitted them now, so we’ll see if they get picked up or not. It was really fun to paint for a show that’s all about erotica. It was outside of what I’d normally illustrate so it was a really great challenge – especially for dealing with the male form which I haven’t really tackled yet.

Thursday’s life sketch

For the past while I’d been doing at least one life sketch a day; mostly random objects around my house, people from photos I’d taken/retouched. I’d gotten so busy that it fell by the wayside and I realised this week how much of a mistake that was!
