On the Periphery

Periphery gets a capital letter because it’s that important.

I like to pretend the world is my personal cinema and the only way to do that is to walk the sidelines. Being a small, non-threatening looking female really helps with invisibility mode. It really pays off when I remember to carry the camera and save what I see to share with everyone else.

These are from earlier this year when summer was trying to burst into the city. It felt like the right time to share these just as summer is running away from us. The way in which light hits downtown is rich beyond belief.

    I feel the same, sadly my capabilities aren’t up to capturing what I see, in the way I want too and that’s frustrating. Those are both exceptional images, you constantly astound me!

    You’d be surprised at how many photos get thrown out and don’t catch what I see. Sometimes I just get lucky, and only when I do it enough that there’s enough of a pool to choose from.
